Pete Greenhalgh sadly lost his fight with Parkinson’s Disease and Dementia on 4 July.  Pete’s love for cycling was there to see in the 45RC Club, encouraging young riders, always out on Sunday rides, and organising mid-week rides for those of us fortunate enough to take part.
Pete was diagnosed with Parkinson’s some years ago but kept on riding.  His passion for riding a cycle led to him ordering a specially built three-wheel machine with two wheels at the front, sadly it took so long to arrive, that when it did Pete had lost all confidence.  Still the passion was there, but now he arrived on four wheels.  He would come and visit the start of the Club rides, wishing he were part of it.  We will always remember Pete as the National Hill Climb Champion.
Rest in peace Pete.
